There is a sort of sump at the base of the gear housing....add oil until the
level just touches the lowest gear teeth.  Marvel Mystery Oil is wonderful
in this application.  Grant

30 wt oil is okay. Just about any oil is okay. Just don't fill it. All
you need is a squirt or two on the gears and bearings.

If you are filling it up and it all drains out the blower is probably
oiled well enuf for a while.
