Actually it's been demonstrated that supportive (remote, anonymous)
prayer doesn't do a thing to help.  What DOES help is support that the
ill person HEARS about.

What is reputed to be particularly good is anecdotes and stories that
reaffirm the person's value in his own mind and reminds him why to
carry on.

If someone would post Tom Clark's email, we could all send him well
wishes.   I have not been able to find such an email address.  An
email of someone willing to print out messages and take them to Tom
would do.
