[TheForge] how to make a Georgian scroll

You guys all want to come to my shop and we'll have a hammer-in and figure  
out how to make those nice scroll ends you see on Georgian handrail ends?
Failing that, if anyone has ideas about what would be a good approach and  
wants to make a post about it- you know the ones, where the handrail comes  
to a scroll in a horizontal plane at the base of the stairs and has a sort  
of halfpenny scroll, but without the necking down, it's a full width curl  
kind of like an unwound snail shell...that's not a very good description...
It's full width all the way to the end, then comes to sort of a disk...I'm  
stumped on how to forge it.
