Go to Wal mart get HTH PH-minus (sodium bysulphate)in the pool area. Don't
get PH plus it is different.
Use the PH minus for copper also but use a different batch for steel or
copper. It is a lot cheaper than sparex
It is about $10 for 10#
Will take mill scale in a couple of hours and heavy scale you need to work
with a brush
Mix a capful to 5 gal of warm water.
I think I converted Tom Talane' to it from the vinegar he was using. He was
getting pure vinegar at $80 a gal.

Ray,
Why "DILUTED" vinegar?? Are You diluting the vinegar, or are you buying
diluted vinegar?
I have started using vinegar for both mill scale and fires scale and I am
pretty much pleased with the results. However, it seems to loose strength
pretty quick so why dilute it in the first place?? I am using the vinegar
that comes in gallon jugs at the supermarket.
