Subject: [TheForge] Re: Cleaning components
At the last conference I attended, I too was convinced that a tumbler
is the best method of cleaning steel. The guys I spoke to recommended
a water heater tank with blades welded into it, but I like the idea of
a square tumbler.
The one thing that everyone recommended was to attach a vacuum to one
end and punch a couple of holes in the other end, to clear out the
inevitable oily soot from tossing steel. Thoughts?
Also, any thoughts about a good tumbling medium for steel?
