You can get scotch-brite pads for your angle grinder that take it out
beautifully. they come in different coarseness levels. In descending coarseness
they go brown, red, blue, grey. Red is the best one for taking out scratches
without losing stock. It will leave a fine grain that you can take out with
your buffing wheel.

I have a small job requiring brass pieces 3 foot long bent 90 degrees
along the length. the bender left marks on the surface. I have been
experimenting on how best to get a clean shiny surface. I don't believe
I have the proper abrasives to get this done. I am trying to remove all
the scratches. It looks like I need to order something to get this done
right.
