[TheForge] Propane Users tank sizes and usage

We have a 100gl tank for the kitchen range and they
fill it a couple times a year. They used to come out
every couple months till we told them to hold off. If
you buy more than 30-40gl. (I think, I haven't looked
in a couple years) there's a further discount. If we
were to call them out on a small quantity they'd charge
for delivery, not otherwise.

Anyway, having a large tank and having propane
delivered is significantly (20-25%) cheaper than going
down to their yard and filling smaller tanks. There's
no tank rental either, they inspect it annually for no
charge and the insurance co. gives a break for having
it professionally installed, inspected, maintained,
etc. It's all round more economical to let the supplier
install a tank, fill and maintain it.

Here anyway, your local may be different.
