[TheForge] SS alloy advice?

316 is a standard stainless spring wire alloy as is 302 but you must  
order it as spring wire. It is cold worked (drawn) to achieve the  
spring state so you must not heat it above 500F or you will start to  
loose the spring characteristics. McMaster Carr sell stainless spring  
wire  I believe it is 302 but I could not find out from the online  
catalog.
