[TheForge] Another air hammer question

Part of the answer might lie in hold old your other compressor is and 
what else you use it for.
If it is on its way out anyway then you are only looking at the 
difference between an exact replacement and the upgrade.

The Bull,when I first got it , ran on one of those ten gallon wheeled 
compressors that they sell at Big Box.
It worked fine for about 1 minute or so and then needed to recharge. It 
was satisfactory during my "getting to know you' sessions.
You can mangle a lot of metal in a minute on one of these.

Once I got to the point where I was actually working out of the, fire . 
Heating one or two while forging on the other, the little compressor 
couldn't keep up.
So much of it depends on how fast  and continuously you work, and how 
many noisy little compressors you want to burn out.

The third is what else do you power off of your compressor and is it 
being used while you are forging. If you are working alone your 
grinders, paint sprayers, pneumatic hand tools do not have to be figured in.

I also like the minimal footprint of the Bull. The compressor is not in 
the shop so valuable floor space can be filled with useless junk rather 
than a bigger hammer.<G>
