[TheForge] repeated , repeated, repeated content!!!!

I have been a member of theforge since the 1990's, I have been a project
manager on the Mastermyr project, I'm the newsletter editor for the Great
Plains Blacksmith Association, and if you want to demand that a bunch of
blacksmith do something your way, you're going to be disappointed.
I'm sure you've heard the clichés..."Managing blacksmiths is like herding
cats" or "Ask 10 blacksmiths and get 11 answers"
TheForge is what it is. It is an amalgam of interactions of individuals who
share an interest/love of blacksmithing. The postings are going to be all
over the map because socially that's what people do.
Instead of waiting for that tidbit of useful to you information to fall into
your lap, ask a specific (or general) question regarding your need and you
will get response. It may not be what you want to hear, but there are no
guarantees in life. Odds are any information given will be useful to
somebody on the list.

I doubt this will reach the list but here goes.........
I have been a member for several yr's now and a WORKING blacksmith, (how I
make money) and in that time I have found in those yr's few things of any
value??? I don't have a smithy or a studio, I have a shop. I get up in the
morning and have my coffee and scroll through the enlist drivel about S
hooks and the all important starting a fire issue, not to mention those
personal msg. about billybob's condition. I suggest for the benefit of ABANA
that perhaps this list should be titled in two sections.......WORKING
blacksmiths and those playing at it. I know I will miss the heated discourse
about the use of ghoss darn in the postings, my kids don't really care about
my e-mail. There is a lot wrong here but I don't have the time to go over
the list this yr.
Focus people, there is ytube and your own web site to consider?????????????
