I've already looked into it, and I only have 100amp service to the shop. 
The combination of idler and compressor motor about takes it up to the 
maxiumum current and start-up current will be too large.  If I can't get 
the 3 phase, I can get a VFD which will allow me to run the motor soft 
starting which will keep the current in an acceptable range, but a decent 
model that can power a 15hp 3-phase motor will run me about $1500. 
Doable, but 3-phase from the power company should be cheaper.

What is your breakover on pressure for high/low?  The Kinyon hammer is 
supposed to run @ 100 psi.
