[TheForge] new question, quenching oil

Hydraulic and other, non-quench oils are not made for hardening metals. I'm
thinking that the additives in these oils may be harmful if inhaled during
quench ops; this is said to be especially true of mineral oil. I use
Texaco's "Quenchtex B" an oil of medium quench speed, formulated for use in
room temperature quench baths. Grant

i use hydro oil mixed with desil fuel to thin it out a bit....im working
52100 with good results.....over 200 cuts on sisal rope b4 it goes dull
