[TheForge] Hammer/anvil ratio

Well, I'm getting closer to the time I need to put my Kinyon style hammer
together. I 'should' be getting 3-phase power installed to run the
compressor before the end of the year. The compressor looks like it only
needs a new air filter and a gasket set, and oil change.
Given that I'm looking at about at least 50 CFM @ 175psi output from the
compressor, a 3 1/2" air cylinder, and I've got about 300#s of 6.5" round
to use for the anvil, how heavy can I make the hammer before I start
running into diminishing returns? I know that is should have about a 10:1
ratio, but that would leave me with only a 30# hammer, which seems a waste
given my power supply. I'd like to be able to work up to 2" square and
round.
Are there ways of increasing the weight of the anvil that work well? I
can weld and fill rods onto the anvil and base if that is a viable option.
I'm looking for some guidance and suggestions.
Thanks!
Todd
