[TheForge] new question, quenching oil

I've used Hyd oil for quenching. It generally has a
lower flash point than motor oil and smells a LOT
better than the motor oil, ATF mix. I'm not saying it's
any healthier though so stay out of the smoke
regardless.
Heat transfer oil has a lower flash point still but I
don't believe it quenches any better. I missed a chance
to salvage some heat transfer oil when they changed it
out on the crack seal pot at work. I put in a request
to give me a call the next time and if they remember I
may have more info to pass along.
