Subject: Re: [TheForge] MIG Welders

I think both Lincoln and Miller are good machines. Both are used
every day in tough industrial situations around the country. So its
kind of a Ford versus Chevy thing.

But I do know a guy who posts on another forum, who makes his living
repairing welders, and he says inside em, Lincolns are a pain to fix,
and not designed as well. He sees 50 or 100 welders a month, so I
tend to trust his opinion.
Individual Lincoln welders are usually great- and the chances of it
needing repairs are pretty small, so the differences are small.

Personally, I have a shop full of Millers, going back 30 years- from
an AC/DC buzzbox, up thru a couple of migs, tigs, inverters, spot
welder, push pull, and spool gun. They all work great, no big
problems with any of them, ever. Total repairs for maybe 8 different
machines, probably $500.

So I buy blue.
