I am to inherit a bunch of 3/8? iron rods that were from the
historical Sawyer Adobe in SLO. They were used as the stakes for
portable sheep pens at market according to the story. Speculation
was that they supported a canvas pen...unsure about that (
updated version of hurdles?).
I cut off a sample. Heavy pitted corrosion( not wrought). Forged
like near pure iron... soft,very forgiving....pete f
