[TheForge] List Monitoring

On May 16th, the Superintendent of the district in which I teach, received 
the complete transcripts of ALL the letters on theforge referring to the 
things which I took from the Waste disposal cart.

I am very thankful that the administration stood up for me and did not fire 
me outright.  I have no doubt that they could have if they had wanted to.  I 
have been told that though I am in trouble and will likely have some sort of 
letter put in my personel file, I will probably not lose my job because:

A) I did not deny that I took them when asked.
B) the chemicals WERE being disposed of.
C) I returned them UNOPENED immeidiately upon request.
D) My blacksmithing hobby is well known where I teach.
E) The letters clearly showed that I was not intending anything malicious 
and had clearly intended them for metalwork.
F) I had seriously thought that me using them up would have been cheaper for 
my district than sending them to an expensive Dump Site.

I am disturbed by the fact that someone either on this list or someone who 
monitors this list searched my name with "middle school", found my district, 
found my Superintendent, and then mailed him copies of our letters, which 
were serious and innocent inquires about how to use these things for 
metalwork.  Whoever sent these letters must have known that my intent was 
professional and not malicious and yet still mailed them.

I have no doubt that this letter will also reach my Superintendent and 
Principle and again I am thankful that they know me well enough to know that 
I truly did not think I was doing anything wrong.

I WANTED YOU ALL TO KNOW ABOUT THIS BUT, IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR EVERYONE 
INVOLVED IF THIS WAS THE ONLY LETTER ON THIS SUBJECT.

PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS LETTER!!!!
