Any quality chrome plating firm can both remove the chrome and re-chrome
when your repair is done. It will not be free (i. e. cheap) but for a
quality item worth it. To check on who does chrome work in your area talk
to some machine shops. Chrome plating is offend use to bring back to size
working parts repaired by industrial machine shops.
