Kindest thanks for all the suggestions re finding studs and for some
anchoring techniques. I thought about just fastening to the paneling
but not sure how it is attached to the wall. Maybe just construction
adhesive and might pull away. The thought of that rock falling off
their wall, knocking $1000 worth of antique glassware off the mantle
and then bouncing onto their carrera marble fireplace surround is
frightening. If I cant find studs that will provide appropriate
centering for the piece maybe I will just do some serious anchors, as
Ries suggests, through the paneling and wall board.
On another note, does anyone happen to know why the forge wont accept
html? With AOL I can read them fine but really have to jump through
hoops to get a message out here.
Many thanks, again.
