[TheForge] Diesel Gas Question

Stuff like this is probably why my farm liability policy excluded 
"blacksmithing" .

This isn't exactly how I remembered it, and haven't  yet found the 
photo.  My uncle told me the story years ago. As I remembered the 
account,  the barrel  was an old fuel oil tank that had been empty  for  years.

Reading the account below, I  am pretty sure that the guy didn't take 
time to purge it with water .

My cousin was  at the site,  because she was taking photos of a near 
by grass fire for her local newspaper "The Madisonian" ( located in 
town of Winterset,  Madison County, Iowa)

but whatever.  the incident recap that I found with google, was by 
the fire-department fatality report dated a year after the 
explosion.  I unsuccessfully tried to find newspaper archives.

It happened Winterset Iowa, April 7 2000,  Report was filed April 22, 2001

According to the story above,  the first  man  killed was cutting on 
tank with a  torch. One fireman was killed and a 2nd fireman severely injured.
