Mikey, that's what I've been suggesting all along. Some folks don't
like my ideas, but at least they're damned ideas!!!
So, I'm going to make a proposal.
I am willing to write up a poll, if ABANA is willing to cause it to be
seen by all members.
Now, I realize Dave has said that there's a poll in the Seattle
conference packet (and I can't be the only one who saw so much stuff
in that packet that it got overlooked). And, if you're polling the
attendees, you're preaching to the choir- this gives us feedback only
on those who already attend. What we need is information from those
who don't attend, as to why, and what would help them decide to
attend.
The poll will be published in one of the ABANA magazines, or maybe
both. I think I can set up a website so that we can get feedback on
line, or maybe run it through the ABANA website, or, for Heavan's
sakes, include a postcard in one or both of the mags.
Come to think of it, while I'm at it, can include questions for
non-members as to why they are non-members.
Anyway, rather than JUST asking those who already attend, why not take
things a step beyond where the board is asking just TheForge's
feedback, and get as much feedback as we can. That way, we'll all have
opinions from the membership and interested people as to what THEY
want, and can see if it can be accomodated (sorry, I get the only
winning lottery tickets we offer ;-)
Dave, Clare, anybody else on the Board, as well as anyone here on
TheForge, what do you think?
