Woolley,

The dish soap dispurses any residual oil into the water, so that it
doesn't float as a oil pool.

My first welding project was a pontoon boat, using old 30 weight oil
barrels, when I was 17.  My dad was an engineer and had seen some people
do some dumb stuff.  Dad didn't discourage me, but he didn't want to pick
up pieces.
