[TheForge] Off list Any admins for TheForge out there?

If anyone wants to use Google mail (gmail), I have 55 invites left and
want to share.
FYI, using your ISP's provided email service is not actually that good
of an idea,
in case you switch, or they go out of business or what-not. I'm all
for supporting local
ISP's, don't get me wrong... but it is good to have an account on any
of the major providers
so that you can be reached in the long-term. These days, they all
provide pretty good anti-spam
in their webmail, so if you prefer yahoo or hotmail/msn or aol or
whatever that is fine :)
(even if you're in a permanent rural location with only one ISP to choose from)

Most of them will let you have email automatically go into a "folder",
based on some rules like "[TheForge]" in the subject -- on gmail, it
is a label actually, so things don't "hide" from you, the labels
overlap instead of being exclusive, like "web 2.0", but that is all
I'll banter about it here. Really, I'll try to stay on metal topics.
That is what I want to hear about too!!

I manage a handful of mailing lists myself, and I also see accounts
get suspended if delivery fails or bounces multiple times, which just
needs a reset. The problem of a domain being "blacklisted" is much
bigger and different IMO.

cheers,

ben
