Mine sets on the end of a telephone pole set in the ground - dirt
floor in the shop. I have considered sawing a vertical slot in the top of
the pole the same thickness as the swage block so that the height is the
same on edge as when the block is laying flat.

Subject: [TheForge] Swage block stands

I have one of those swage blocks that doesn't have the rotating ends on. I
was think of welding up a stand from old bed rails, anyone have any ideas of
doing this sort thing?
