Just so; it's a 40kg version he calls a Krusty. These
are also just dimensioned drawings with no text so
they're not really "plans." They're more than I need
but they still fall short of plans.
If you go to his site and look at the damascus making
video you can see it in action.
As to how this impacts buying Rusty / Dusty plans. Have
you tried? There're the number of threads I've read on
various forums (fora?) where guys are saying they
aren't getting replies to inquiries for Rusty/Dusty
plans. I'm not subbed to a bunch of forums but the
threads came up in this search.
Unless you're buying steel new you're going to be
modifying the plans pretty much head to toe so a
concept drawing and a few basic ratios are likely to be
more helpful than detailed plans. For instance, I'm not
sure how much throw to expect from the spring, which
will impact the crank and distance between dies. This
site didn't talk about it so I'm still going to have to
experiment. Sometimes a person can get hung up on
finding exactly what's in the recipe instead of
adjusting for what's available.
My main mod is going to be a tire drive clutch instead
of a slack belt clutch. The ram weight is going to be
determined by what I can find for an anvil and
baseplate. The field expedient mods cover almost every
component, I'm certainly NOT going to bolt the anvil to
the baseplate.
My other mod will be a scotch yoke rather than a crank
and long connecting rod.

If it ain't forged
it ain't real.
Wrought iron is.
