While it is possible that there are galvanized bladder tanks, I have
never seen one. One reason for the switch to bladder style tanks was the
ban on lead content in galvanizing that took place around the mid 80's
or so. Once the lead content was gone the galvanized water storage tanks
failed much more often than the ones with the older lead bearing
coatings. The bladder tanks eliminate the water to metal contact,
solving the corrosion problem, with the added benefit of eliminating the
absorption of air by the water, and therefore eliminating the need for
anything to control the air
level or the periodic addition of air... sometimes by hand pumping...
not to popular.
BTW if you have a bladder style tank, and the pump is short cycling,
it's likely that the bladder is shot.
