the first forge that i built the fire pot was made of a brake drum off a
semi. you know the ones on the dual back wheels of a prime mover. found
it to be very good. it was also nice and deep which meant that you could
keep a decent depth of fire in it. wish i still had it but my family has
it and not much chance I'll get it back again.
