[TheForge] Power hammer pads for conference

At the 1998 conference, power hammers were set up on the tarmac of a parking lot.  Was that unsatisfactory?  A friend has a 25-lb Little Giant on a hardwood pallet which he locks to a cement floor for use.

While I'm at it, I need to know how many power hammers, minimum needed
for a base (understanding it will only be for a week) and their power
requirements.
