Feel frustration that no reasonably good, professional, technique 
oriented DVDs of the demonstrations at the conf are 
available....in light of the considerable dues we pay, they 
should come with membership.
Such DVDs would also soften the anguish of being unable to attend 
simutaneous demos.
In light of the distances many have to travel , longer 
conferences would help...hate to spent more time on the road than 
there , drinking beer and learning new stuff.
I favor low budget, minimum amenities, camp out, pleasant rural 
settings. I'd also favor less ceremonial hoo hah, dance bands and 
kiddie activities. Just BS please.
Perhaps, as Bruce says, Abana could back more frequent, more 
geographically diverse efforts of local groups, with packages  or 
teams to deal with specific conference aspects, like video, 
communications, sound systems, legal crap, expert advice on anvil 
blowing and beer sponsors.
OK, Bruce didn't say all that.
As it is, living out here in the sticks, most of what i see for 
my membership fee is 2 good, but infrequent publications....and 
this here bullshittery.
What the good folks who have dedicated a fat chunk of their lives 
to blacksmithing and ABANA now chime in with is...Hey, you're 
completely right...come right on up and do it!
