Mine uses a lot of air. I have limited current to my forge so I have to run 
the plasma cutter or the compressor. So I charge the compressor (30 gal at 
125 psi ) and then turn it off and cut. I only get about a minute maybe a 
minute and a half cutting time. then I have to do it all over again.
I think they run better or more efficiently on nitrogen, but I have always 
ran mine on air.
