MIke,
thanks for the information. I bought a bunch of these
at auction this fall and thought they were variations
on splitting wedges. the handles had some cement on
them and most had the spalling on the top which i felt
good plasma cutting off to save grinding time. they
sold them as stone chisels. I wondered.
