Frosty - glad to hear your surgery went well.

I don't know about all ruminants but having raised them, I know cows and
sheep DO NOT have upper incisors (front teeth). Instead, they have a dental
pad (i.e. a flat hard gum area).

Ruminents have top and bottom incisers and if they were 
so inclined could indeed take fingers off.
