Really!
Took about 90 minutes, IIRC.
We used Josh's power hacksaw because Marshall's horizontal bandsaw couldn't accomodate the piece. Even if we HAD been able to lift it in place. (Junkyard wagon axle shaft, maybe 6' long, something in excess of 500#). Josh has a crane over his saw. This saw is large-scale, using those blades that are ~14"x1", maybe 10 tpi. However, it really doesn't cut any faster than a hand hacksaw. Just a lot easier on the arm!
I think Jeff has a smaller version for sale at Marshall's shop.

I was toying w/the hacksaw idea...I love that kind of challenge!!!

6" round....Really? WOW

A REAL MAN would use a hacksaw. :^)

Seriously, a power hacsksay might be the answer. We cut the 6" round
for the Grasshopper anvil on a power hacksaw, with a little help from my
friends.
