Ow, glad to hear you're on the mend, but that's quite an injury there.
If you're going to be one-handed for long, you might look into a
one-handed keyboard. I used to work with a network engineer who'd lost
use of an arm in a motorcycle accident, he used a "Bat Personal one
handed keyboard" http://www.aboutonehandtyping.com/bat.html and scroll
down. The site lists other options as well.
