propane for many years of , $0.49 usd per gallon. that is a far cry from
what i pay today. $1.49 usd per gallon.

well, with the illinois utility board giving commonwealth edison a 22%
rate increase.
our electric bill normally runs average $75.00 usd per month. there was
a time when there was no electric bill.
our propane bill including the propane for the forge and crucible
furnaces is around $200.00 usd per month.

for years it was common in the rural area of dekalb county for com-ed to
drop the grid the minute a thunderstorm in the area. there were times in
the past when the area was without power for a week at a time. we were
happy knowing that we still had refrigeration and lights.
