[TheForge] RR Spike tongs

Just off the top of my head, try the Anvilfire site. Look at the iforge
projects.
Now, what I do for spike tongs is to take a pair of nippers that I've picked
up cheap at an estate sale and convert them. I like the ones that have one
jaw blunt edged and the opposite one sharp.
The sharp edged side I straighten out and then split. I forge it into two
tines or fingers.
The spike head is asymmetrical, one side is slightly longer. I place the
long side down into the curve of the blunt jaw and then the two fingers are
forged down on each side of the spike. Also, the blunt jaw curve is
tightened up so you have a secure grip of the spike head.
I hope that makes sense.

Rob
