Sorry- I cant agree with that one. I said what I meant, and I meant 
what I said.
Orlando Bloom was just plain old Orlando Bloom, same wimpy geeky guy he 
is in every movie. His elf is indistinguishable from his crusader, as 
far as I am concerned.

But Jack Sparrow is a real person- Johnny Depp is so much better at 
actually inhabiting his characters, each one different and convincing, 
that I cannot but consider Jack Sparrow to be just as real as Ed Wood, 
George Jung, Willy Wonka, William Blake, Edward Scissorshands, Raoul 
Duke, or my personal favorite, Sands, from Once upon a time in Mexico.
