I was given a piece of steel and there is a lot more. I was told that it is salvaged armor plating, ASE 52250, Called Hardmax. I have no idea about heat treat, how it works, welds, or grinds. It should make wonderful knives, not that I am a bladesmith. Does anyone know anything about this stuff. David Childress Trollforge at Trollkeep
