[TheForge] Lye soap

You can also boil the grease up with several changes of water.
Basically, you repeatedly wash till the water comes out clear or you run
out of patience.
Best done in winter so you can freeze the grease on top between boiling
without it costing you electricity. But if you're clever, you can use a
crab-boil pot with spigot to get rid of some of the water dregs.
I've also got half a mind to try making biodiesel. But that's another
project. Besides, I have nothing that burns diesel...

Isn't a lye bath also used to clean a piece after any forge welding
was done to clean off the borax flux? Also a lye bath to neutralize
an object cleaned with muriatic acid?
