This last Pennsic, John and I attended her wake, since she knew it was
only a matter of time (at that point we weren't sure how much, but we
knew she probably didn't have long), and she said, that damn it, she
was going to be there for her own wake- a very SCAdian thing to do ;-)
I'm going to share a story she told on herself, about an incident that
occurred while a bunch of them were caravaning from hither to yon for
an event.
It seems that they had been sitting around talking, and laughing at
Sue for being the Ultimate Merchant, in so far as being able to sell
anything, and find a dollar in pockets that didn't know they had one
in them. In fact, she was so good, one of them said, that if she were
driving down the road, and passed a dime on the road, she'd spot it
and get it.
So here they are, driving down the road, running in a caravan, with
light signals in case someone needed to stop for some reason. Suddenly
Sue signaled to stop, and pulled over, and ran back down the road, to
pick up- you guessed it- a dime she'd happened to see as she was
passing by.
No one quite like her- a great lady. I, too, will miss her.

Heat it up
Hit it hard
Repent as necessary.
Has anyone seen my temper?
I seem to have misplaced it at Stalag XXXV....
