[TheForge] Notice for the SCA folk on the lists

Susan Wagner, AKA Sucatra Rhytre in the SCA, died this morning of
complications of cancer and blood clots in her lungs.

She was best known for her merchanting skills and her support of new members
and merchants. For many years she sold costume knives and a few handbuilts.

(And for the name of her business: S&M Leather, which got its share of
laughs, even though it only meant Sue and Mike's Leather.)

Sue and I traveled together for several years, sharing expenses, hardships,
troubles, and triumphs. We used to comment it was like a marriage without
the sex. We were often mistaken for a married couple. So we often had to
explain that we _were_ both married, just not to each other, which generated
its own share of confused looks and/or scandalized ones. :)

It was she who encouraged me to start selling my smithing products. Little
did I know that would lead to years of traveling, partnership, and a
wonderful deep and abiding friendship.

Anyway, just wanted to let the SCA folks on the lists know.
