Thank you, Peter, and all the other great minds who have made suggestions on how to re-forge the mushroomed horn on my Mouse Hole anvil. Here's what I have concluded to try:
First, I'll use it awhile just as it is and see how much it bothers me.
Second, if it bothers me too much, I'll try my weed burner as a heat source while protecting the rest from over heating.
Third, if I can't get it to forging temp with the weed burner, I'll borrow a big rose bud from someone.

A rosebud should heat the tip pretty rapidly ( back it up with a
fire-brick if needed). I'd put a pile of dripping cotton rags on
the cutting shelf and add water when necessary...PF
