OK, then my only question about that is whether the ram will stop at
the position corresponding to the depression of the treadle. So if I
depress 1/2 way the ram goes half way and stops at that position. If I
go slowly to 1/2 position, the ram goes there gently. If I go fast, so
does the ram, but it still stops at the right spot. If that is the
case, then this would seem to be the solution I have been looking for.
