With out a doubt yes.. I have one here in Bham and it works fine.. and if
anything the climate is a little milder there all year round. While
everyone was complaining about the increase in natural gas prices due to
the Hurricanes our bill was the same.. all electric.
Heat pumps dont work well in extremely hot nor extremely cold weather, but
work fine in the more temperate climates.
