[TheForge] burners and other addictions

I don't have a viable opinion about the UK torch other than I found the
article I read reasonable at the time, the test data was believable and the
how and why preheating the propane worked made good sense. None of these
really mean much as I don't have the article, URL, etc. to back it up.

As I recall though (he says going foreward anyway after admitting any
opinion is based on geezerly memory) the preheated propane mixed much more
easily with the incoming air. They claimed to be able to weld mild steel
with their hand held air/propane torch.

The propane preheat circuits were really complicated so I didn't persue the
idea which is partially why my memory of the process, results, etc. is
vague. Basically I decided it wasn't worth attempting on a home made burner
level.

Okay, burners are peripheral to your vision quest right now. I know how it
is, I thought I'd lost my readers this morning and was pretty panicked till
I remembered (geezerly memory <sigh>) where I'd set them.

So, good luck on vision enhancement, chapter shaping and all the rest.
