[TheForge] searching for black-galvanized chain

Hmm.  Just now reading this email, as I was not reading the thread.

My side work makes black galvanized items.  I think that they drop the
galvanized items into nitric acid to turn them black.  I can check. They
then seal them.  As these items are galvanized, the zinc doesn't have much
hardness for wear resistance, but it certainly looks pretty.  If you want, I
can send you the info for this place (Marietta Georgia), or you could find a
plating shop locally that does the same.

Or, if they paint, they need to cure the surface with vinegar.
