[TheForge] Repairing power hammer dies

Gentleman,

            I am in the process of rebuilding a little giant hammer that I
recently acquired.  One of my problems is that some where the hammer was
used I guess for texturing, as the dies (upper and lower) have a bunch of
small shallow depressions in them. Has any one any experience resurfacing
dies. I do not want to grind them because some of the dimples are fairly
deep. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
