Note: I thought I sent this yesterday, but I sent it to Dave and forgot to
copy theforge.

Dave,

He has a lot of information on his site. He never really gives any specks
or diagrams of the burner, but lots of pictures and talk about how he did
it. I think I could put one together after visiting his site, but would
have to do some experimenting to fine tune it.

He talked about starting it with a small wood fire until the burner got hot
enough to self sustain. That was with the burrner that had a removeable top.
His later burner was sealed, he didn't say how he started that one.

Subject: [TheForge] Oil fired forge

I was bouncing around on the internet looking for info on waist oil heaters,
and came across a site for backyard casting. He had a burner designed to
burn waist oil to melt alluminum and brass. Looking at it it came to me
that there would be no difference in hooking the burner up to a forge than a
foundery.

Has anyone built or used an oil fired forge?
