Terry, I've worked at a computer 40 hours a week, for the past 27 years. 
I've developed wrist twinges three or four times as I got older; every 
time it has been completely eliminated by figuring out what was wrong 
with my posture. I don't think the folks who write up the 'right' way to 
sit have all the details right--it varies from person to person.

By far, the single best thing you can do (in my experience) for wrist 
issues is to get an angled or split keyboard. A straight keyboard forces 
you to put an angle (pronation) on both wrists, which leads to wrist 
problems. A split keyboard has the left and right bank of keys at an 
angle to each other. Here are some examples and a decent place to buy from:
