Did you have to do anything for the base or does the oak base just sit on
the floor?

I've got the 50kg model. I had a hard time believing I needed anything
bigger as an amateur. It is plenty of hammer, and he had a previous model
that he let me  have at a discount.

It lets me get *far* more done in the limited time I have for blacksmithing.
